r/Vancouver. Post about the 50,000 (actual number 46 but you can't tell from the reaction) covid deaths over the weekend.
All responses are some variation on "OMG Literally Crying", "DAMN! So sad!" or "I feel sick", and so on.
Of course, a billion upvotes for those comments, and [REMOVED] for those that don't take part in the panic.
So, they're either bots, or just wanting to get many updoots so they write something trite. Apart from that, the usual bashing of those who dare speak out against doctrine, and voila! Your daily fearmongering post.
Just don't tell them how many people die from car accidents, trips and falls, or natural causes!
one more thing: how come nobody ever focuses on the "Recovered" statistics? For this round, it's 21,304.
I have had a full blown Scott Airpack SCBA in the back of my truck for most of the last 20 years. Every offshore oil rig I've ever been on within about 20-paces of the helicopter I've had a fit test for the SABA. I've taken Helicopter-Underwater-Escape training where they dump you upside-down in a swimming pool dozens of times. I have done it using rebreathers. I have done it in 5-minute North Sea rated survival suits. I am fire trained. I am SCUBA certified to 40 meters.
Please take your grandma's moldy curtains off your face. Please. It is a political statement and nothing more. Please.
It ain't me making it political. There just has to be some sort of common sense behind it. I did man up a day ago - I masked up for exactly 12 paces into the dentist office. I then sat in the chair for 2 hours while they drilled the fuck out of my teeth as I breathed in the dentist & her assistant's face.
It is the 12 paces that makes no sense and is obviously political. It was the receptionist who asked for that. The dentist herself literally did nothing different than a dentist 20 year ago.
So, as of today I have worn a moldy faggot-type mask exactly 2 times.
I am hoping WW3 starts really soon. I will be first in line.
The really dumb thing is the receptionist didn't give a fuck about the mask on the way out. Apparently COVID doesn't transmit when you are paying the bill.
