Seriously why do you guys have a prime minister and a governor general aren't their jobs redundant?
The PM is the governor regional & the governor general used to be his boss
People are taught to see the position as a decorative position of no relevance.
But the position of governor general can still summon, prorogue or dissolve
parliament functionally whoever is governor is a replacement for the queen.
