At this point, I respect this. The people in this country have always been so passive, from accepting we should pay all out double/triple/whatever others pay in other countries for TV, internet, mobile phones, to Ottawa stealing money from the west and handing it out all over the east to secure votes. Nobody stands up for any real problems anymore. Police release a warning of a five time rapist "high-risk to offend" to be released in the community? Nobody says a word because daddy Trudeau said the criminal has more rights than anybody else as he changes his supporters' diapers.
It is clear tax money is not used for our benefit, it is actually being used to destroy the country and make those ruling the nation rich. By abstaining from paying income taxes, you are helping the country because there is less money for the government to spend to destroy it.
But don't tell CRA. At least not directly. Send them a separate polite letter separately if you really want to knock the useless government worker who opens the letter off of their high horse.
The mistake you're making is that while our government seems hopelessly incompetent, retarded even, robbing us of our hard earned money through taxes is something they've been getting better and better at for 200 years, which they pursue with unrelenting vigor.
I second this, skip the letter, keep the rest of the plan. I understand the want to explain your actions, after all, how will they know to make a difference. The problem is the unjust law is not on our side and they would use your letter to target you or imprison you. Quietly into the night in terms of income tax and if they come after you well then you’ve got some other decisions to make, but I support this decision 100%. Income tax is unjust anyways just in an of itself so morally there is a valid point to not paying it.
They don't care. That's why our user taxes are so high, to compensate.
I know a few "Free Citizens" who live in campers and compounds.
Now the rich who don't pass out brown envelopes... they care about.
Edit: They gonna care if you tell them you're doing it though.
Good idea. Income tax is theft anyways

A more accurate description would be a criminal robbing you at gunpoint.
