Yeah I loved The Breakfast Club, Clerks, Mallrats. I listened to grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc), synth-pop/new wave (Depeche Mode, The Cure) etc.
My siblings and older cousins were Gen X so I was exposed to this stuff. And with the internet you can find almost anything.
The thing too with Gen X is that people change over time. The same people who related to Reality Bites in 1994, many of them are now CEOs, middle-management Karens, politicians, public health officers, etc.
What absolutely floors me are the polls showing that Trudeau has high approval ratings among 18-34 year olds. What is the point of a $2000/month CERB cheque if the government makes it illegal for you to meet people you don't live with? This is a terrible time to be single.
