Have you never done an around the world type flight?
Vancouver to Toronto, to Paris, to Kinshasa, to Pointe Noir or something like that? Just switching terminals at Paris might take 3 hours. You will be stuck there for at least 8 hours, because flights to Europe land at dawn and flights to Africa leave at dusk to arrive at dawn.
Don't even get me started on Hong Kong. It is perhaps a 45 minute journey to get to the food court from where AC drops you off (gate 68 or so).
I despise people who bring full-size carry-on bags instead of checking them as luggage. But you can be damn sure my little-wee laptop bag will have wheels.
I'm in the 100k AC club and the wheelie bag is crucial.
Hell even the shorthaul flights out of terminal 3 at Pearson for west jet is like a 35 minute walk and up and down multiple escalators that are broken half the time.
The rich can afford two weeks of self-isolation in a luxury resort. Of course they have access to a pool, food service, and entertainment. But they are following the rules, you see. Just like a parking fine stops me from illegally parking, a rich person just considers it the cost to park there. In the future we must reduce meat consumption to save the planet so meat will become very expensive... for us. For the rich? They don't know what a good steak costs so what difference would it make to them it it was double or triple what it is now?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not jealous of the rich but I am very angry that our political system benefits the rich in the way it does.
First class has pretty good service, I hear.
That reminds me: There's a special place in hell for people who use wheels and handles on small bags. Jesus christ how weak are these people?
