To mitigate this, Meleta writes four or five versions of the same test so students realize that sharing answers takes more time than it’s worth.
The drawback, of course, is that it takes up more of her time.
“All my weekends, all my weekday evenings, were kind of eaten up,” she said.
Over 1/3rd bar exam flagged for cheating in online testing. Commiefornia of course and likely some false positives with the software, but online "learning" is simply learning to cheat.
High-school teachers have to be the dumbest laziest cunts on the planet.
But it is not a new phenomenon. 25-odd years ago I had a teacher who would give daily pop-quizzes and have us hand it to the person behind us to mark because she was too fucking lazy to mark them herself. How do you think we organized ourselves? Instead of geeks being in the front row and assholes in the back row, we were all in columns of friends.
She even had us to do shit like crumple up our quiz and toss it to the other side of the room.
So the geeks and assholes on opposite columns in the room became partners in cheating. For opposite reasons. The assholes because they didn't want to read Shakespeare at all. The geeks (me), because we had read Hamlet on the first day in an hour on the school-bus home and were already into our fifth Shakespeare play. We just thought it was fucking retarded to read & memorize the events of exactly 5 pages per day just to prove we had done it.
All of course because she was a lazy cunt who couldn't manage to customize a lesson plan to teach and challenge students of differing levels of reading ability & motivation, much less mark the fucking quizzes herself to determine her student's skills & deficiencies.
Teachers are always the victims of education.

There is nothing wrong with online learning. I am a big supporter of it.
Obviously the testing has to be done in person. It all comes down to the teaching method. And that depends a lot on the nature of the course.

Is education even a thing anymore? Don’t schools in Canada have a no fail system?
