And for people here who have loved ones over 70 but under 90, I decided to do this chart to give you some piece of mind. Because even though the rates are elevated for people 70-89, it's the 90+ year olds who are bumping up the death rates a lot for the 70+ and 80+ categories

80-89 year olds are 3.55% of the population and make up 36.46% of the deaths. 10.26x the average.
70-79 year olds are 7.7% of the population and make up 17.87%of the deaths. 2.32x.
90+ year olds are 36.48x!
And this is very good news if you are under 65/70,
0-69 year olds are 87.85% of the population and make up only 12.95% of the deaths. That's -85% the average rate.
Even 60-69 year olds have below-average death rates. 0.0213% of 60-69 year olds died with COVID-19. The total average is 0.0297%. As 70+ year olds are inflating the average significantly.
