I never stop to help people, and I never stop for hitchhikers. Fuck that noise these days. A few weeks ago I pulled over when I saw someone in a ditch to make sure she was okay and had someone coming, but that's the first time I ever did that too. Rural crime is up, and I don't blame farmers for the shoot, shovel, shut up approach.
