This is the right take, just like how victimhood has become virtuous, and whining, complaining, and canceling have become virtuous. Virtue is now subversive, because honesty, bravery, and other real virtues are now disdained.
At present, I have only been able to point out the obvious corruption and fallacies of MSM content to people. They agree but within the month many revert back to idiots who source their opinions off that same bullshit.
Currently, the non MSM platforms have become a sewer network of conspiracy theories, outright lunacy and many are acting as controlled opposition or saboteurs.
This leaves a void for most of the population that currently cannot be filled due to a lack of consistent credible content for real News.
The RebelMedia, if it wants to fulfill this role, will need to ramp itself up to a full on News Network and soon. The opportunity available at this moment will not last forever.
I think this is currently in progress. Faith in the mainstream news is on the decline. As more of my peers get covid and experience it personally, everyone in their circle has radically shifted their view on it - and sees it as benign.
A liberal friend told me than OANN has taken over Fox News in terms of viewership.
It isn’t so much the independent evidence available as people’s anecdotal experience and it’s total discontinuity from the mainstream that is undermining the faith in MSM, and there are a lot of people who won’t openly say it. Yet.
Had an interesting chat with a certain person over Christmas, not quite this insane, but she was right up there with the covid scare and the Trump 'there is no fraud' events. I didn't have a whole lot of information on the covid stuff to present her as I wasn't really keeping it all bookmarked (or it tends to be scrubbed down the memory hole so fast that links 404) so she probably wrote me off as a crazy.
The next time I saw her we talked about the election vote fraud and this time I had more sources. I showed her articles from the papers of the challenges and corrected her, with sources from even the MSM, about how many lawsuits there actually was, and even the suitcases and the pictures of what happened in ballot counting stations throughout the US. I explained everything calmly and when she had a counter argument that she heard from the MSM, I was able to correct her nearly every time with articles and videos with the rare case she just took my word for it. I even explained the parts where Trump's team made mistakes as well (like typos in legal challenges, etc) We even briefly got into BLM and some of the real videos of their violence.
She was white as a ghost and shaking. I honestly think at first she was furious at me (how could I believe this stuff) and then with more and more stuff I showed her she started to realize what I was telling her. She was in pure shock after that the entire time. But she listened and after almost two hours of this I had catch my ride. She didn't really say anything as we left but she nodded and walked away still white as a ghost.
I was really not sure how to help her. Her own stubbornness on having to be 'I'm always right' kept her coming back trying to defend her POV but finding out everything she thought she knew was lies just broke her.
Imagine this happening to an entire nation. I honestly don't know what they'd think or do if/when this all comes to light. How on Earth are we going to deprogram an entire nation that thinks all the stuff they were told on TV and in their echo chambers is the truth?
I’ve had some success with family and friends, but honestly I’ve lost more friends over all this than anything. I’ve engaged some people at work, just voting at the edges of their uninformed beliefs, and then the next week I hear them laughing and joking about how stupid trump is or something, and it’s just back to square one.
Honestly, people don’t try to get informed, they don’t know they take our freedoms for granted, they just accept whatever news or social media that’s right in front of them. Oh whatever it has nothing to do with my life right? It’s just a default worldview, and everything is fine, if I needed to know something, I’d know it!
Covid probably had little to do about that meltdown. Pre-existing mental illness, or just a good punch in the face, should/would neutralize her warped actions.
Yes, we're definitely in the "Weak men (or women) create hard hard times" stage of the cycle. This whole lockdown scenario has been created in service to utter weakness and cowardice. You couldn't create a more obvious example of weakness creating hard times if you tries.
This is the right take, just like how victimhood has become virtuous, and whining, complaining, and canceling have become virtuous. Virtue is now subversive, because honesty, bravery, and other real virtues are now disdained.
So what would you propose as a viable option to neutralize this without activating the white blood cell response?
I'm at the point where observation without response is becoming tiresome. (Not referring to you, just in general)
The mainstream media have to be silenced. They're the lynch-pin of all this. Their ability to broadcast needs to be neutralized.
It'll take a lot more than that, but they're the first domino that needs to fall.
Agreed,
How do we achieve that one item?

Fringe will always be fringe. I'm thinking of the Pyramid Model in this respect.
I'll use Trump as an example, related to Media.
He worked the Alex Jones type groups, the Fox type groups and the OAN type groups.
He has grown his base by engaging the many, from fringe all the way up to the more credible, separately but also together.
In Canada, we lack the interconnected cohesion Trump created in the US.
However we could Unify under the Trump phenomenon as well, especially since we don't have our own Trump and we are on the .WIN platform.
Yes, but Honestly we are in the fringe group.
What we are lacking in Canada is the Connection and lead in to each level AND a unifying Top tier group.
ie. FOX became the Unifier for a great portion of Trumps run.
Our independents need a Unifier. RebelMedia could become that centrepoint with the goal that a Full News Network was eventually born out that.
It already has in Canada.
I am suggesting that we fight the infection not the body until we can do more.
Effectively that is what Trump did in the US until he created an army behind him.
Otherwise we just get slaughtered since we have no leadership, no organization and no army behind us.

As the hysterical girl leaves he elevator wearing her mask below the nose. What an infantile moron.

Ironically, screaming propels droplets. If she'd just remained quiet, there'd be no exchange of droplets between the two.
If anybody in that elevator transmits Covid, it'll be her own fault.
