Because in those respects, those conservatives (obligatory "not all") try to shove those beliefs onto others and cite the Bible and/or their superior morality.
Those are the biggest reasons centrist and some conservatives hesitate or refuse to vote for conservative parties in this country. Want to stop the proliferation of the extreme left? Stop the proliferation of the extreme right.
As a Progressive IDGAF whether you accept these issues or not. My problem becomes when people advocate for governments to change laws based on their beliefs.
Advocate for beliefs at the top of your lungs, do all you can to convince people who disagree with you that your views are right. Don't have the laws changed so that people who don't believe what you believe can't make their own choices. (I know you said you don't. I mean in general)
