I don't pander to race and gender, and I don't believe in 'representation'. When the right does this, it feels like some sort of spineless Chamberlain-esque appeasement. It's quite disgusting to be honest.

The lefties and moderates don't really care about race either, they use it as emotional leverage when it suits them and ignore it when it does not.

They have no problem glorifying Al Sharpton and vilifying Thomas Sowell, despite the fact that Sowell has more intelligence in one of his tastebuds than Sharpton has in his entire body.
