I spent October and December in Brazil. And I’m planning my next trip for April/May and maybe longer. Even with the semi-closures from time to time in São Paulo it is considerably less restrictive than Quebec, with friendlier people, and better food and weather and everything is generally open. And while Covid is in the news it does not paralyze so many as it does here.
I just got back from Vietnam and regret leaving, as everything was open/normal (already communist) so less disruption to daily activities, making money, hanging with friends. I brought back a love for real coffee and bun cha. Can't wait to go back. My friends are doing a month long bike ride across the country, seeing my friends living and loving life while my neighbours report on each is a stark difference. A month ago i was free in a shithole( my shithole ), and now I get a bunch of Karens trying to muzzle each other and out pretend who is the medical pro. In my home country where im supposed to have more rights. Wild times.
Canadas fucked, I would love to hear more about other places/options.
Sounds fantastic. Vietnam is a great place. I’ll be off to Bali in April. Then Brazil. I don’t know when I’ll be back in Canada. No rush. That’s for sure.
