Ok you personally didn’t do it. It’s happening. It’s a shame we send our bravest men to the Middle East on a fools errand. On behalf of spineless bureaucrats.
I knew that there were Canadians in Afghanistan but I honestly just thought they were acting as UN Peacekeepers which has been there usual MO post-Korea. No disrespect meant, I actually collect military medals awarded to Canadians mainly due to having Canadian ancestry on my mother's side.

Afghanistan was not a peacekeeping mission. Peacekeeping is when you get between two or more sides and stop them fighting. We were on one of the sides. It was us, the rest of the coalition and Afghan government forces vs the Taliban, Al Qaeda and affiliated groups.
Combat tours for Canada? Are you a Korean War vet?
Have you ever heard of Afghanistan?

Someone’s gotta protect the poppy fields
I didn't protect a single poppy field, neither did anyone I know. We drove by them every day and ignored them.
Nice try though.
