Not according to the media, who most Canadians listen to. And that's all that matters in a battle for public opinion - is what the public believe.
Those idiots pulled out the tiki torches and the media jumped all over it and said to their audience:
"See? They're waving tiki torches! Where else did you see tiki torches at protests? That's right, Charlottesville. These anti-lockdown people are white nationalists!
And the Calgary protestors gave the media just enough evidence to make the accusation vaguely plausible enough to sell to the public. Whereas if those dummies had just left the tiki torches at home, along with anything else that can be plausibly spun as a white nationalist dog-whistle, the media would have nothing. and the public you're supposed to be appealing to might just hear you out.
But these dumbasses just insist on shooting themselves in the foot.
And they didn't just fuck themselves. They fucked everyone who's trying to oppose lockdowns. Now the media has the ammo to imply a link between lockdown opposition and white nationalism going forward.
Pull your fucking heads out of your asses. You're a liability to the anti-lockdown movement.
