Ok, in the eyes of the public (who you're supposed to be trying to persuade to see things your way on lockdowns), those things make you look like these guys or these guys, which means the public are going to stop listening to you and you're going to fail in your mission to persuade them.
The whole point of protesting is to get your message to others and persuade them to agree with you.
