If this gains any real traction people will pour through every detail to find some fact that's either wrong or an instance where a different study that came to a different number. That way they can brand it as COVID disinformation.

It's the same play that happened to Roman Baber before he was expelled from the Ontario PC party. He in his letter gave the wrong number of hospitals in Ontario and he stated there had been a 50% increase in drug ODs during lockdown whereas the government said the real number was 38% increase. Does it really change the point he was making? Not really. Can the media "fact check" his statements and brand them disinformation while not clearly stating what he said wrong? Absolutely.
