I don’t own a home, live in Alberta. Friends are all buying right now. I feel so torn. Yes, it seems like it has all the signs of a bubble, but the government and the bank of Canada are determined to keep it going.
I’m afraid this province is going to turn into Detroit and I won’t be able to sell if things go to shit.
At the same time, I’m not building any equity by renting and paying for someone else’s mortgage.
It's been a bubble for a long time. Our retards decided to inflate the bubble and continue it when the American housing bubble collapsed in certain parts of the country. Our government inflated it and then allowed the Chinese to buy up billions of dollars in property for nothing in all our major cities. They knew this was happening and still chose the worst possible direction because they no longer serve Canadians.
This entire country is a bubble.
A million for a house isn't a bubble. Just the other day I spent $600 on a value meal at Popeyes.

I don’t know what to do.
If the Gov decides people can no longer own property, it won't matter much anyways.
It's not like we currently fully own our property anyhow.
Dude just wait 5 years you will be better off
