I think it’s just older Tories really. Formerly conservative media outlets (Calgary Herald, 660 News as examples) have been quietly taken over by left leaning types and are masters at manipulating older conservatives that blindly trust them. Look at what happened to Danielle Smith, she quit radio, probably because she was told there were topics she couldn’t touch and certain things that she had say certain ways.
What a fucking disaster. Way back in 2010 he was one of the only candidates that wanted to build the airport tunnel. That was his gateway drug, building big impressive things that cost a bunch of money and generate no revenue. Now year after year there’s lots of new projects in the works, and taxes keep going up even as real estate values go up to try to cover all the spending. Now we are in a real cluster fuck as the downtown cash cows aren’t paying what they used to, and nenshi has a bunch of spending he needs to do.
Hmm yeah I thought I was going crazy wondering what happened to 660 news. I was sure it was reasonable 10-15 years ago. That and 770. Charles Adler went full retard. And the only other sane man was booted off , can’t recall his name.
Danielle isn’t on anymore? Shame. At least she tried to push back a little. I used to listen to 660 all the time in Calgary , mainly for the traffic updates as being on the road long haul for a living. Barley turn it on anymore as it’s so comically woke and right on it’s almost as bad as CBC 1.
660 news Orange man bad. CBC radio in the daytime you can play a game while driving with your passengers. Turn it on and the driver counts the seconds. The passengers listen for a woke story, buzzword, PC chestnut and or fake news involving said buzzword (Eg: Gay, indigenous, native, ‘people of colour’ , trans, women’s rights, feminist/feminism etc) as soon as a word comes up, STOP!
Maybe it’s me but we have never got past 60 seconds.
CBC radio and television channels are like the proverbial tree in the forest falling with no one around to hear it. They may as well be broadcasting to the primate enclosure for all the sense they make.
