When I see discussions devolve into arguments over semantics, that Thomas Sowell quote always pops up in my mind:
“There are no solutions. There are only trade-offs.”
Utopia is not for this world. There will always be problems, and believe it or not, things could be a lot worse than they are now.
That said, it goes to show that technology and education do not alleviate the same old human desire for tribal conflict and dominance (whether it's class, race or both) Our technology evolves quickly but our human brains do not.
