Besides my wife complaining about what grocery items jumped by 10-20%, I have nothing to comment. She has been doing this for nearly a year now. Weekly.
There's a historic shortage of semiconductors, chips, graphics cards, etc. It's effecting everything at this point, and will continue to for quite awhile. Lumber is also at or near all-time highs. Food costs are through the roof and will only continue to go up.
I think this is the start of the unravelling. The birth pangs are becoming closer and closer together. Things are already disconnected and will only continue to become more so. Housing and the stock market are totally disconnected from reality.
Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there?
ETA: The economy is so fucking screwed up that we're now 'monitizing' NFT (non-fungible tokens), meme stocks, and Dogecoin. The entire world is upside down and on fire.
In the grocery store, there is a constant shortage of canned pineapples. If there is any on the shelf, there’s only a few cans of the house brand and it’s crushed pineapple, not the more useful tidbits or rings. Also at the grocery store the display for the deli counter is not as full of sandwich meat as it once was.
No this is sobeys. I never go into coop as it’s always more expensive. Now coop gasoline however, the 4 cents a litre back is the best deal I have found yet.
Lumber prices skyrocketed, some up to 60%. I am fine with high prices if it is all Canadian made products. Shut the border and make our own shit. Refine our own shit. Produce our own shit and sell the excess for top $.
No they are not. They have been a mess for 13 months now and are starting to normalize. Many products, while still expensive, are fully back in stock including softwood lumber.
Maybe in food. In manufacturing, we are dealing with stuff like this:
"Our risk mitigation group has determined that the uncertainty at the Canadian border will require us to place these business domestically." From a long time OEM customer. @BillBlair @GovCanHealth why won't you help Canadian #manufacturing? #cdnpoli @CMoldmakers
Basically, the Canadian border restrictions related to COVID are so bad that we can’t get our mfg sector operating fully. Losing access to US supply and losing US contracts.
It was COVID for sure. When factories anywhere along the line shut down for more than a few days it cripples the entire supply chain. It will take years for some to return to normal.

Stay away from shitcoins, stick with the OG. Bitcoin is shaping up to be a great currency hedge.
Cardano to the moon!!
They may have 51% of hashing power, but they don't own the mining pools themselves.
Any funny business would be immediately evident by nature of the blockchain.
The Bitcoin devs have a nuclear missile ready to fuck over the miners with an algorithm change should it become necessary.
I think it is you man. All is well in my neck of the woods. Business as usual.
