The Chinese had a major internal crisis awhile ago where one of their baby formula manufacturers added melamine into the formula supply and killed a number of children. Google '2008 China milk crisis' or whatever.

So now none of the Chinese trust domestically made baby formula so they all go into Hong Kong and buy up all of the foreign baby milk, which is exactly why the Chinese are in Canada making baby formula for China.
