I guess if your design is anchored on GIFs, my comment isn't useful. But when I go to a site that is popping out at me, busy busy, I immediately click away. I want to chose the information that's fed to me. Not have it in my face. I might find it less objectionable if it were spread out a bit and not a big seething block in the middle.
I only have the GIFs up on PopCan because that's what I was doing on the American side where it's ported nicely to Gab and Parler, at least when they're working. I like the idea of only having two punchy GIFs at the top and then the fat-free link dump along the lines you've suggested, with insightful (contra inflammatory) headlines.
I was wondering about the Revolver.news and Citizen Press formats as well. This is great, actionable feedback. Thanks.
Regarding keeping it up, I've maintained MemeAmericaGIFAgain.com every day for the past year-and-a-half, even after getting banned permanently from YouTube and having our Discord server quarantined. I figure once I redesign PopCan, I'll just factor it into my MAGA workflow.

Will do. The easier it is to keep organized, the more time I can spend filling the feed.
