I believe this was a dispute between modern day philosophers. One was a descendant of Plato, and the other was a descendant of Artistotle. Artistotle's descendant was still angry that Plato did not choose Artistotle as a successor because of his Macedonian heritage and thus inferior dialect. Classic Athenians always trying to keep the Macedonians down.
