We need a new Catalytic converter or something, but to claim the big cash payout they have to build them exclusively in Canada.
There won't be any big jump in combustion engine tech. You can see that in Europe. They tried it again and again. Most of their cars are now turbocharged three or four cylinders. And even these won't meet the new regulations. Electrification is the only way to lower carbon emissions in cars.

I dont have much faith in EVs, not for like 2-3 more decades at least.
