Clothing is non-essential. I saw it all taped off with yellow caution tape with a piece of paper explaining that non-essential items can't be sold. Gift cards taped down too. So I can't buy a Google Play or Uber gift card with cash. I must use a Visa or Mastercard to fund these things.
The Ben & Jerry's ice cream and the Fudgee-O Double Stuf I bought last night is essential though even though this stuff makes you vulnerable to COVID (as well as Type II diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, etc.) if you don't eat it in moderation. 4/20 Munchies are essential. The cheesecake is essential in Doug Ford's Ontario but I didn't get any.
Never once in the past 13 months have I seen a PSA from Dr. Theresa Tam, Dr. David Williams, Dr. Eileen de Villa, Dr. Lawrence Loh, Doug Ford, etc. that obesity increases your risk of COVID hospitalization or even death substantially. And that people should lower their caloric intake, exercise (they close the gyms and they tried to close the parks and playgrounds), get Vitamin D, sunshine, etc. to reduce their COVID risk. Instead people have been expected to avoid other people for the past 13 months to stop the spread of COVID-19.
I mean, when you think of necessity, you automatically think of food, clothing, and shelter. The fact that clothing isn't essential is retarded. I need clothes for my kids, they grow out of stuff all the time.
But I can buy lawn chairs, because you know, I need those.
So if you consume too many essential cheesecakes and blow out the seam in your pants, replacement of them is deemed non essential.
Yeah you can only buy the replacement pants online from walmart.ca, amazon.ca, etc. lmao. With a Visa or Mastercard. So that the government has an electronic paper trail of your money and transactions. Even if you buy a reloadable prepaid that you can reload with Cash like Stack Mastercard, they KYC you when you create the account. And they can shut off your account if you load your account with a suspicious amount of cash (and if you try to break up the transactions into multiple $500 cash loads, the same will happen).
I bet Doug Ford likes multiple loads all over his face.
I wonder who came up with the "essential" item list in Ford's government
It's like they want people to shoplift.
It isn't stealing if you leave cash behind, right?
They were on sale for $3.97. It's usually like $6.47 a pint. Go woke, go broke.
Is there a company which actually got broke by going woke?
Google, Facebook, Nike, Ben & Jerry's ... they all seem to do great.
Operation meltdown: If see you Ben and Jerry’s in the store, take a handful out of the freezer and throw it in the garbage.
Fat bastard can't live without his fucking cheesecake.
Don't say this so loudly. The Ontario government has so much power already, dictating what we're allowed to eat might be next.
Yeah I'm not a fan of fat taxes, sugar taxes or anything like that as well. People have the right to make their own decisions. If you choose to be obese just don't force lockdowns on me. An obese Type II diabetic 70 year old relative of mine died from COVID-19. So when people say that COVID-19 is a hoax, that's BS. But the truth is a very large percentage of people who die from COVID are fat asses. Obese people who do not want to die should consider losing weight and lowering their blood sugar before calling for stricter lockdowns and lockdown extensions on social media. Obese people with a death wish are free to do as they wish.
I get so mad when I see literal heifers calling for stricter lockdowns and lockdown extensions on Twitter. I told one bitch to put down the Twinkies before telling people to stay home. I'm surprised I haven't been permabanned from Twitter yet.
I don't care if they or anyone wants to take that experimental jab. Just don't force the lockdowns or the jab on the rest of us. I have an immune system. If the virus wasn't created in a Wuhan lab, then I should have nothing to worry about right? ;) Coronaviruses have lived among us for millions of years.
You can't buy makeup at Walmart, but you can buy makeup at Rexall. You can't buy clothing at a clothing store, but you can buy it at independent grocery.
Etc.
That is odd. Even at No Frills I haven't seen anything taped down. Though I didn't check every aisle either. But at big box stores like Wal-Mart and Costco, they do tape down "non-essentials". Because a lot of people were bitching about there being lots of people at Wal-Mart and Costco so they got targeted. But lots of people at a supermarket or a pharmacy is okay because it's "essential".
If you just walk over and grab one and bring it to a checkout it works. Did it with a $20 steam card the other day.

Being aware if you or your partner may be at higher risk for more severe outcomes of COVID-19. This includes:
You can buy them from amazon.ca and make Jeff Bezos even more rich. The same Amazon Fulfillment Centres where COVID is running rampant btw.
I started ordering from Walmart online instead. Not like Walmart is a way better company, but at least it is competition. Plus, I'd rather have my profit go to Arkansas than the SF Bay.
It is a pretty genius way to lower healthcare costs: have all the whales get bigger and die younger.
