I had realized before covid that the government doesn't care about public health at all. And that money or other interests always trump any actual interest in keeping their population healthy or informed or supported.
I've just been watching the descent into 1984 with shock and awe, and calling lots of things "idiotic."
Christians are literally taught in the Bible that governments (the world) are not your friend. "Friendship with the world is enmity with God." But lots of Christians-in-name just rolled over and closed their churches. Christians aren't supposed to fear anything (except displeasing God) - not the government, and especially not a virus.
I guess I have been coping by reading the Bible, mainly.
Whether we like this or not, the world is going to change once this all (hopefully) blows over. My plans to rework my career path pre-virus are completely gone. So instead, I've been building a business and exploring opportunities I wouldn't have previously bothered with.

Adapting, career wise.

....and making the final moves to leave Canada.
I agree. I'm using the phrase very liberally ?
Been drawn to the Bible lately. I get a powerful sense of comfort and goodness when reading it. But I am not a good fit in any church, it seems.
Reconnecting with God.
