You better fucking believe it!
I walk the streets like a mutherfucking bastard chad. ?
Do you not understand the difference between public property and public place?
Even if he decides to open his house to the public, (thereby making it a public place) he still gets to make the rules (because it's still his private property), and still gets to boot people out on virtually any basis he wants, short of discrimination criteria prohibited by law.
A restaurant is an example of a public place that is private property. You're allowed in there because there's an open invitation to the public, but the restaurant owner can kick you out for not wearing shoes, being too loud, dropping n-bombs, whatever he sees fit. Because it's private property, meaning he makes the rules and he decides who's welcome and who isn't. You have no right to be on his property since it's private property. And as the owner he has property rights, which includes the right to decide who to have as guests on his property.
Many people seem to be totally misunderstanding the difference between a Forum and a Platform.
A Platform can hold a monopoly and challenged as a public "property" (so to speak) in our new world. ie. In respect to Free Speech. ie. Reddit.
A Forum is a private space, accessed by the public and the owner has the right to run it as they see fit, in general.
It is appalling that so many people cannot understand the difference and the danger in conflating the two.
In some cases it's obvious that a few or more than a few people are well aware of this and trying to destroy everything deliberately.
In other cases, it's unblissful ignorance.
You haven't actually explained the functional difference between a forum and a platform. THIS is a privately owned space accessed by the public. And so is twitter, facebook, youtube and the rest of them.
Now, show me one of these publicly owned "platforms" where people are legally entitled to free speech?
Platforms observe the obligation to provide access to ALL content that is not illegal in nature OR they become publishers. They cannot discriminate based on ideology or they forfeit their rights not to be sued for content or discriminatory behavior. The .WIN community is a Platform.
A Forum is a privately owned space accessed by the public such as OmegaCanada.WIN.
Platforms WILL have their Protections revoked if they continue to act as Publishers and continue to discriminate against those who exercise their right to Free Speech.
This is not public property. You have no rights or entitlements here. If you don't like it, go lobby the government to extend charter protections to users on private websites.
