I respect Dr. Peterson and value his words immensely, but even among my most respected thinkers there are places where I disagree.
Dr. Peterson's assessment of the 2020 USA election is that for there to be fraud institutional integrity would have to break down across so many metrics that he considers it virtually impossible. Clearly he has not been exposed to the plethora of evidence that suggests that this indeed did happen. In fact he was still recovering from family tragedies, benzodiazepine withdrawal, medically induced comas, pneumonia, and Covid-19 in November 2020. He was not paying attention to American politics at the time.
Don't forget Dr. Peterson is still a tenured professor (on leave). Despite the many flaws and failures that he recognizes in academia, I think he still has more trust in our leftist-infiltrated institutions being inside of one than the average person looking from the outside.
And maybe on a less fair note, Jordan identifies as a liberal, not a conservative; he was an NDP activist in his younger days.
No doubt. He only became a big public figure after speaking up against the Liberals' language bill.
There is no compromise with the left. Dr. Peterson is far too charitable towards them (which is crazy considering how vicious the left is toward him) Thomas Sowell has been writing for decades about how utopia is not possible, only tradeoffs are possible. We progress by understanding that the perfect is the enemy of the good, so we should aim to build a functional society understanding that there will always be imperfection.
Therefore its not surprising to see Dr. Sowell being very pessimistic about the future - he knows the left will not budge an inch and they will not stop until all the achievements of Western Civ are destroyed.
He admonishes pills after Benzos nearly killed him. And attacking his family shows more about you than him.
