I lurk here a lot, and I just want to know Ham. Despite all the things I have read you post, what are a list of complains you have with the PPC, minus the obvious.
It's a sham. It's just a vanity project started by Max out of sour grapes because he lost the CPC leadership race. The goal is simply to punish the CPC by splitting the vote and condemning Canada to perpetual Trudeau rule. This is not only petty and self-interested, it displays a disgusting lack of regard for the country, if Max would sell it out to perpetual Trudeau rule just to spite the Conservatives over his leadership election loss sour grapes. Who in their right mind would support this?
The PPC is never going to win an election. It's not intended to. As I said, it's just intended to keep Trudeau in power forever so that Max can spite the Conservatives for denying him the big seat. I am not going assist him with that by voting PPC.
In fact it's impossible for the PPC to win an election because if their ideas were ever popular enough to win an election on, the CPC would be running on them. That's what real parties do. They have leadership elections and policy conventions so the electorate can define the party and keep up with the times. That's why in 150 years of democracy in this country, elections have only ever been won by one of the two major parties (under various names). There's is no room for minor parties to come from behind and win elections. It doesn't work like that. For that to even be within the realm of possibility the major parties would have to freeze their platforms in carbonite for years on end, never adjusting them to cater to the electorate until they ultimately lose so much popularity that a minor party overtakes them. The major parties are never going to do that. Why would they?
I despise traitors.
Unlike most PPCtards, I didn't first start paying attention to politics on the day Max announced his new party. I've been paying attention to Max long enough to know that he drastically changed his character when he split off to start his own party, and this appears to have been done to pander to the radical right-wing fringes. The only utility in pandering to a radical fringe is to shave a few points off of the mainstream party they're under. The only reason to aim only to shave a few points off of a selected party rather than campaigning to win overall is if your goal is merely to make sure that party loses. That is all the PPC is intended to do - Keep Trudeau in power forever.
Even if by some miracle the PPC did win the next election, they would never be able to govern. Aside form Max, who in that party even knows how to be an MP, let alone a minister or any of the other duties associated with elected government? Like who's going to be your finance and justice ministers? Renata Ford and Rocky Dong? Even if a PPC win was possible (which it isn't), it would be a total disaster if that ever came to pass.
PPCers are the worst people on earth. Look no further than this board. They're obsessed with racial identitarianism, Qanon conspiracy theories and every other toxic radical right-wing trope. They're politically illiterate, they're immune to reason, they even shit their pants when you try to explain to them why it's a bad idea to wave tiki torches as their rallies. If there's one unifying political belief that virtually all (98% of) Canadians can agree on regardless of political stripe, it's that PPCers are fucking cancer.
Anyone with a shred of common sense knows that the PPC's image is unsalvageable. When Max launched it, a literal neo-nazi party reached out and offered to collaborate FFS. What does that tell Canadians about the kinds of people drawn to the PPC? Since then, the party's base has been filling the internet with mountains of racism in the party's name, and to no objection from the rest of the party membership. When was the last time you saw a PPCer in here calling out the racism from his party mates? Exactly. Never. And somehow they still don't understand why they're polling at 2%. Not that it matters, because Max will never wash away the stigma these people put on him and his party, ever.
Congrats on proving his point
