The modern and the sympathetic left view statue toppling as free flowing social progress. The police do nothing to stop them, and the moderates do nothing to condemn them. The extreme and violent wings of modern leftism are not hindered by their base, but encouraged and used by them.

This stands in contrast to the moderate right that condemns extremist racial supremacists. Moderate right wing thinkers reject identity politics entirely.

The right has become self moderating. The left, even the moderates, have become complacent to violence and extremism in the mainstream.
