This is the sad reality of a communist state, everyone knows everyone is lying and yet nothing changes. So maybe the police have their balls tied in a knot, but ultimately they have a duty. If they fail that duty then they are guilty of high crimes. It is precisely because men fail to speak up when they know what they are doing or witnessing is wrong that we have learned that what happened in the 20th century is not worth repeating.

The police have a duty, that word has tangible real world consequences.
