I'm opposed to his actual ideology, not his purported ideology.

You people have all been fooled by a con-man. He doesn't believe any of the shit he says ever since quitting the CPC. He says that shit because he knowns there's a radical 2% on the rightmost fringe of the conservative half of the electorate that he can seduce by making certain noises about immigration and what not. And if he can scrape them off of the CPC base, he can help prevent the CPC ever winning another election, thus punishing them for not giving him the big chair.

That's all any of this is about. Well, that and getting rich off of that sucker 2%'s donations. I'm sure he doesn't feel the least bit guilty about taking their money, since we already know how he feels about anti-immigration people.

Max knows damn well that what he does alienates the vast majority of voters (which is why he polls at 2%) but he does it anyway. What that tells you is that he's not playing to win. Well if you're not playing to win, what are you playing for?

You guys need to understand that that Max's agenda and the vote splitting are not two separate issues. The vote-splitting is Max's agenda. His goal is to punish the CPC for denying him the leader's position. This whole project is aimed solely at keeping Trudeau in power forever, out of petty person spite on Max part. And you people are falling for it. He's got you campaigning to keep Trudeau in power forever (by working overtime to down the CPC), AND he's getting rich off of it at the same time. And you guys claim to to be the "real" conservatives. Amazing.

I mean does it not give you pause when you see how Benrier used to Pander to lgbt, and pander to Islam., and then claim to not pander to special interests once he launched his new party?

Or when he used to call people who want to be tough on immigration to "karaoke versions of Trump". and then turning around and claiming to want to crack down on immigration.

What is the more likely explanation here?

1. He genuinely had an epiphany on all these issues right after he lost the CPC leadership race, decided to rage-quit and start his own party. And It's just a total coincidence that on all those issues, he reversed himself to the exact positions he would need to in order to steal the only votes available to him - a vote vote share that could never even win him a seat in parliament, but could definitely make his new arch-enemy CPC lose a federal election? Or...

2. He rage quit after finding out he'd never be Prime Minister. And he knew exactly which segment of the electorate could easily be shaved off of the CPC base using some basic culture-war talking point, which could very well make the difference between Scheer getting to be PM and not, so that's what Max went after.

Start using your brain. Every indication here is that this whole PPC thing is a sham. I mean where's the party constitution? Where are the financials? Why no policy conventions? Why haven't there been leadership elections? Is Max just the self-appointed leader for life?

At what point do you wake up and read the writing on the wall?
You've been taken in by a con-man, and now you're buried under a sense of sunken-cost. You've invested too much and you can't turn back now. It's easier to just stay in the cult than it is to admit you've been a sucker all this time and that your messiah is a con-man.
