How can a below average loser like me afford a home in the GTA? Don't give me real answers, though!

It's simple supply and demand. Nothing changes until these people stop supporting the market being endlessly flooded with excess demand via mass immigration.
I sure as hell do.
"REEEEE!" - You
You can't speak about immigration on that subreddit anymore or you get banned, immigration apparently has nothing to do with the crisis lmao.

Fucking idiots.
I'd say the problem is more foreign ownership. Look at new condo buildings, and there's maybe one light on per floor at night. Most of the units are owned by people in China who have no intention of staying there. Government response is to raise taxes on foreign-owned property. "Yes, nobody can afford a house, but at least WE get more money. So it works out!"
There’s tons of land around the gta that doesn’t have houses on it. It’s empty farmland. It’s not even being used most of the time. Build houses there.
The problem is that everyone that makes policy that would open up new land for development owns a house that they don’t want to dilute in price.
The problem with ‘just build more’ is that primo topsoil and farmland gets permeatedly entombed in concrete. More homes = more sprawl, more highways, more congestion. GTA needs to stop expanding like a cancer on the natural landscape.
I’ve got no problem with sprawl. Let the market decide it.
I don’t want to live in a city where the government controls my housing, transportation, health care etc.
There’s a reason suburbs are usually conservative.
And they're polling at less than 5%. So what does that tell you?
5% almost same as Green Party that's been around forever not too shabby for a new party.
LOL
Most national polls that ask about it usually show around 60% favor a lowering of immigration thresholds. The problem is that any politician that brings it up gets roasted by the Trudeau media.
What do you want them to do about it? They're not in power.
That doesn't mean shit. There's 27 million registered voters in this country and you've talked to what, a dozen? Two dozen? Mostly in online echo-chambers?
Whether you like it or not, the fact is most of the electorate like mass immigration. So if you ever want the CPC (or any party for that matter) to reduce it, then either:
A) You're going to have to wait until most of the electorate want to reduce it, at which point a party can run on that policy and win.
B) A party is going to have to get into power by not campaigning on reducing immigration, and then just quietly do it once in power.
When you want something that most of the electorate doesn't want, and then you demand that you party vocally virtue-signal in support of that policy (thereby making sure the majority vote against them) you are directly campaigning against your own platform. What is so difficult to understand about this?
Example:
Most people support mass immigration.
And you want Max to campaign on ending mass immigration.
But if he does, he condemns himself to rock-bottom support among the electorate.
But you demand he does it anyway because bafflingly, you think this will somehow bring about the end of mass immigration.
This is why you guys are stuck at fringe/joke status. You don't even understand the game you're playing, and you refuse to accept that you're a minority of opinion in this country.
You cannot win elections on a radical, right-wing fringe platform in a democratic country who's electorate is made up by 70% leftists. That's like trying to fly to the moon in an unmodified washing machine. It's astounding that anyone's dumb enough to even think this is possible.
And here's the thing: Max knows it.
You guys need to pull your heads out of your asses, realise you're being taken for a ride and stop mailing cheques to Benrier in exchange for completely empty promises he knows he'll never be able to deliver on. This whole PPC thing is a giant grift and you're falling for it.
Bernier's policy is to halt immigration altogether.
