I’m in Calgary at the moment and no masks have been required in any stores at the malls I’ve been in since the mandate was lifted, although the very first day there were 9/10 people keeping them on because I think they weren’t sure about the private businesses thing. I’ve been all over the different malls and out on the dog/bike trails and you only see the odd single person out biking with a mask on in the heat for reasons I’ll never know. Cities are generally cucked but as far as that goes, as a Californian it’s pretty laid back in some areas with more of a cozy rednecky vibe, much more than you’d see in San Fran for instance. On the outskirts it feels like a big town. I can’t stand most cities, they feel like concrete prisons, but this one’s different. Hope this helps a little, I’ve only visited for about 3 months so far
Forgot to add, public transit and taxis are different, but so far haven’t run into a private business that wanted customers to wear them. Sometimes they suggest it but specify that it’s a personal choice. Lots of happy kids playing outside without them, saw many at the zoo too, only see a few unlucky ones still made to wear them.
