Bad news for the PPC. They're now underwater in terms of Benrier being invited to the debates. They need an average of 4%, taken from all the polls conducted by major pollsters after the election was called on 15 Aug. There's been two so far.
17 Aug (Ipsos) PPC @ 1%
15 Aug (Forum) PPC@ 5%
...putting the PPC at an average of 3%. One point short of what they need to get into the debates.
The new Abacus has the PPC at 3% and EKOS has them at 4%. They are sill above the 4% average. We will see how it looks like on Friday. On this day it will be decided if Bernier can attend or not.
Good. If O'Toole can't win an election because of an opportunistic idiot from Quebec who attacks him from the right, then O'Toole doesn't deserve to win.
Is it O'Toole's fault that there's a high number of drooling retards in this country who are allowed to vote?
Edit: What you're actually implying here is "If O'Toole can't win over the antivaxxers, QAnon crazies and white nationalists then he deserves to lose".
...Even though appeasing those people to win back their 4% would probably cost him 20-30% from the sane majority.
It is O'Toole's fault if he can't make an argument for him.
Also the CPC deserves to be challenged from the right, because as we see the overton window of Canadian politics is only shifting to the left side of the spectrum. And it's shifting faster and faster, because we have 4 left leaning or leftist federal parties. A party to the right of the CPC would force the CPC not to abandon their base while chasing LPC voters.
This chasing is why Harper allowed the CAF to march in pride parades for the first time (something you find absolutely disturbing). Do you think O'Toole will fix all these CAF twitter accounts waving the trans pride flag? He himself tweeted about trans pride and how wonderful it is and that they have his support. And it's not only about social issues. Look at his plan to balance the budget, which is that he will balance the budget in 10 years. Do you really think that the CPC will still form the government in 10 years? No, because by then we will have another Liberal government. Balancing the budget in 10 years means never balancing the budget.
This is the problem with the CPC. They can rely that their base will always vote them, because there is no conservative alternative. So they adopt more and more Liberal policies to get LPC voters on their side. Let this go on for another 20 years and Trudeau himself will look like a Conservative.

No, this is what you're implying. Just because there are anti-vaxxers, QAnon retards and white nationalists voting for the PPC, doesn't mean that all that vote for the PPC are such. You sound exactly like Democrats in the US when they talk about Trump voters.
I could take the same "are you going to take the vaccine" poll over at the Patriots community and show you how the majority are white nationalist, anti-vaxx Trump voters.
This is the community you created. Nothing else, nothing more.
The CPC could literally run on NDP policies and you would still vote for them, because all you care for is getting rid of Trudeau.
No way. People see him in the debates, that makes him a legitimate candidate instead of some fringe nobody. He'll get way more votes if he's allowed in the debates. That's why they changed the rules to make it easier for him. Beriner being in the debates is a gift to Trudeau.

Boy, there sure are a lot of fours appearing in the PPC column ever since the election was called.

Not all. Just the vast majority of them

Ugh. I wish 338 would keep their polling log up to date.
Ham thinks it's a Liberal plot to have Bernier attending the debates.
