Every single Timmies, McDonalds, A&W, Wendy’s, KFC, Subway, Denny’s, Moxies, Shark Club, Rockford Grill, White spot etc etc will have their trade crippled.
And or/the sheer overhead having someone at the entrance asking for papers please before being let in. I feel sorry for that person being volunteered. I predict there will be MSM news stories about shouting matches, pushing and shoving and or “abuse towards restaurant staff” before September is out. Nothing from fake news about outraged clients who just want to fucking eat.
I have an idea. Restaurants asking for the clot shot papers. Say you don’t reveal private medical records. If they insist, as them right back when the last time they went to the gynaecologist, or if male, the last time they had a prostate exam.
I plan to ask about Herpes, Venereal Warts and Hemorrhoids.
From what I understand, people are still allowed to go in for takeout? Are they really just not letting people enter at all?
I’m not sure. It appears to be a poorly thought out thing from the BC gov regime.
Say they allow people to go into a timmies (random EG) and grab a mobile order pickup. No covid1984 passport req. if the “Indian variant” is as horrid as Herr Gesundheitfuhrer Dr Henry says, then surely the unjabbed person waiting around is a risk to others?
It doesn’t bear logic.
Also, if this is a loophole, it can be exploited by simply everyone ordering their food with XYZ Places app and coming in to collect.
After all, it’s the same result in the end wether queuing up at the counter and ordering and via the app. You get your food.
Other things not clear from the Boobs in Victoria: Is the covid1984 papers just required to get in? Or just to order food? What about ordering the food sans coof papers, collecting, then sitting down inside the restaurant?
Eg, my local loblaws has a sign saying “a mask must be worn when entering the store”. Doesn’t say anything about a mask once I’m past the entrance…
The wording of the regs will have to be looked at closely for malicious compliance. “Coof papers will be required to enter XYZ premises to order food” ah. But if you already ordered literally outside… this really could go on and on.
This is going to be a real clusterfuck, and I’m glad of the coming malicious compliance.
I like your idea - sauce for the goose!
Of course you can resist. You tell them you object, make sure they understand why, leave and take your money to a business that isn't abusing our rights and freedoms.
There is a Fakebook group for BC Businesses Against the Health Pass with 96K members. A backup apparently exists on Telegram.
