Well lads it’s come home to me.
I’ve been trying to get into this critical trade certification for two years. I was trained over a decade ago but because Ontario loves red tape and theft I have to pay $3,000 for the privilege of a certification to do what I’ve been doing for years in other provinces.
When they cancelled it last year and didn’t offer it online their explanation was literally: “all the instructors are old boomers and are terrified of the Coof.”
So I paid $1500 down payment to get in the wait list. Got approved. Now they’re saying only the Vaccinated may attend. Not getting this certification will kill my small business. I have done nothing wrong but now they say I can’t get my ticket unless I participate in a medical experiment(?)
Canadabros it’s early days yet but more and more of us will have our lives impacted by this tyrannical bullshit. Can anyone please point me in the direction of legal or administrative support or organizations for people willing to make a stand?
Best way to get back at dumbass colleges isn't to sue them (they love the feeling of significance it imparts) but to keep your money and teach yourself the skills instead. Your $1500 is gone. Let that be your tuition to the school of hard knocks.
Please don't be Ontario College of Trades. LOL
GET A fake vax card.
dont make business even harder, sometimes you have to take the lesser of two evils.
tons of options for fake vax cards, lots of people got vaxeed in the US, you know being snowbirds and stuff
What if you're not religious?
My body - MY CHOICE! It works for all those fuckin baby killers.
I'm way too analytical for that, unfortunately lol.
I personally like Jordan Peterson's conception of religion. Which is essentially that the Bible is a compilation of universal human meta-narratives that codify the essential qualities needed to live a productive life. Doesn't need to be a God that created it, just generations of compiled human experience of what works best in a society, codified into a mythological narrative.
conscience?
It’s not necessary in Alberta. I know because I did this work there for a decade.
I had. Was there for a decade working for the provincial government. Got screwed over and thrown under the bus. Decided to get out and look after my parents back east while they died instead.
I was ready to live the rest of my life in Alberta. Was dedicated to it. Worked hard. But in the end they showed me it wasn’t worth it.
