Shouldn't have flip flopped on the guns. People were just looking for a reason to view him as a liar. All the swing voters who just wanted a new party to vote for but wanted a red tory instantly saw lies with the gun flip flop and it called into question everything else he had been saying for weeks.
He should have held strong and firm. Looked like a strong leader and explain how only a tiny portion, less than 10% of gun crimes are committed by legal gun owners. That gangs and smuggled guns from the account for the vast majority of gun violence. That you could ban 100% of guns... and guns would still be everywhere and used to kill people. Explain that it was all a Liberal manipulation of their voters, thinking that the voters were that foolish to fall for it. He could have pushed that so hard.
Instead he insta-folded and flip flopped. I knew it was over the moment he did it. All the momentum shifted and it was done.
It should be up to the party, not O'Toole. They trusted him once and he failed to deliver. You don't get two or three kicks at the cat. This isn't a joke fringe party where the leader just gets to decide he's in charge forever.
Gonna keep voting PPC with this clown in charge
How many of the MPs he kicked out won their seats as independents? Or did the vote get split between the old MP and the new PC MP?
In the Yukon the former CPC candidate did run as Independent. He split the vote and the Liberals took the seat. That's the only one as far as I know.
I don't trust him. I think he's weak and a leftist
