Yeah, the scary thing is, this is nothing new. We've known all along that "transgenderism" among kids is socially contagious and rapid onset (meaning it's just a fad). But nobody's allowed to say it, or else they'll be labeled a "phobe".
The power that label has over society should be deeply disturbing to any thinking person. It's like being labeled a "counter-revolutionary" in Stalin's Russia or Mao's China. People will do anything to avoid the accusation of being a "phobe". They'll even chop off their own kids' genitalia if that's what it takes to appease the mob.
In the future, historians will talk about this period in history the same way we talk about the Salem witch trials, Stalin's reign of terror or Mao's cultural revolution. We'll serve as an example of how an entire society can go completely mad almost overnight.
Victimhood is a currency. It always has been in my lifrtime, but it's especially ramped up since 2010ish.
Emo, goth, etc was always the same sect of children. But that was harmless long-term, beyond looking back and teenage photos and wondering why you thought black nails were a good idea.

Not really. They will talk about how the political polarization in Western countries gave China the opportunity to cement their place as world leader. Things like transgenderism or phobia will be just examples of this polarization in the West, but they will much more focus on things like social media or free speech vs. limited speech.
I was at the corner store and some kids were in front of me probably 10 or 11 talking about lesbians and other crap like that. It was pretty disgusting.

You, I repeat, YOU, are idiots for giving kids iPads for Christmas instead of Roman philosophy books, or even a commodore64 to spark their interest.

CTV News allowed this?
It's not just an article. CTV even aired interviews with people who regret their transition.

Nice hear someone reporting the facts, rather than just "Trans kids are stunning and brave, anyone who disagrees is literally hitler."
Let's hope this signals a broader change of course towards common sense on the media's part.
