If you have ever been involved heavily in a sport you would know every death is mentioned from all teams. Someone dies in your sport, you know. Speaking from my own experience the amount of deaths by active players is extremely low each year. To see a list this long is crazy.
Anecdotes are all we have these days. There is no real, honest reporting. The sheeple would be rioting if they were allowed to learn the truth.

Nice anecdote. Speaking from my experience, I have only heard of one or two athletes that had major incidents in the last year, the one guy from the Euros and one NHL player. Yet, there are dozens. Yet, when someone compiles a list, I'm supposed to be shocked?
This is meaningless without being able to compare from previous years. That's how stats work. There is no other way to take this seriously.
