This was a worthy experiment, and necessary given the crackdowns on free speech on reddit during 2020.
That said, it needs to be acknowledged that this forum is a failure. Activity is practically dead. What activity exists is a banal echo chamber.
We need to return to reddit and re-open MetaCanada to provide a place for conservative and free-thinking Canadians on reddit to call home. We are somewhat unique on the internet in that there really isn’t a viable place for us to gather otherwise.
It’s not a US election year, so the Eye of Sauron won’t be looking, and if communities like Kia/kia2 and r/conservative can remain without being yeeted, we should be fine.
We simply weren’t on the same level as theDonald and weren’t in the same immediate danger of having the subreddit nuked.
I miss the old MetaCanada and this simply isn’t a viable replacement. I hope that others feel the same way and that we can restore the old, virile MetaCanada community.
Cheers.
Dr. William Luther Pierce talked much about people posting nasty things on the internet as "activism" or whatever. None of what he said was good.
