What "extra" they havent announced any new tax. Your tax burden is unchanged and they are offering new service. At least so far...
Flipside, why is this beneficial to society? This doesnt fix anything in the short term at all.
Lets look at the worker shortage of 2030. As boomers retire, there will be a worker shortage. Their replacements, those turning the age where they start working is set in stone. You cant magic new teenagers into existence if they werent born to canadians already.
Wait they are magicly producing new teenagers for this worker shortage of 2030? Immigration! >400,000 people a year. We have to build a new kitchener or new london every year to house all these immigrants that we bring in.
The government became so hostile toward parents that we are at historic lows for births. We are on the verge of a population collapse and unless we get to some baby making... it's a very very bad time for all of us.
So I will take it you are pro-immigration and anti-family.
For the record, as we get closer to 2030, they need to increase annual immigration slightly more. So you will be pleased.
Incidentally Germany is way ahead of us in so many ways. Afterall Hans Rosling was who first brought the issue to light and told Germany what they needed to do.
So Europeans wont be coming here. I can't fathom anyone in the USA coming here. So you can see why Trudeau is focusing on Syrians, Afghans, and Yemeni.
why the fuck does this country need a population of 100 million?
