Due to TDS, in May 2023, Vice filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was acquired by a consortium led by Fortress Investment Group for 10% of its original worth. After losing BILLIONS, in February 2024, Vice announced additional layoffs and that the Vice.com website would cease publishing content, opting to partner with foreign media companies for content distribution.
