What I sent to friends on FB who need to be here:
????? ??? ??????? ?????? ? ?????? ??????? ??? ?????ℂ?????.???/?????????.???/?????????????.??? ?'?-? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ??? ????? ???? ???? ??? ???? ???? ????? ??? ???????????? ???? ?? ??? ??? ??? ????.
What you WILL find if you do make an acct (VERY SIMPLE, NOT INTRUSIVE IN THE LEAST) and start using it is how refreshing it is to see opinion in a free state. EVERYTHING you can't post on here or comment on here (I mean FB) is possible there.
OmegaCanada.win was/is on reddit in the form of reddit.com/r/metacanada, but reddit's actual owners, the CCP/TenCent group has them right on the cliff's edge with the usual last step: forcing a subreddit to go private and installing interstitial warning screens much like you see on Twitter or here, FB (Are you SURE you want to look at the bad video or comment or here's a bogus fact check sorta bullschnabb).
ANYWAYS, that backstory laid out, much like reddit's now banned thedonald subreddit, an independent website was created and graced with the DOT win top-level domain. TheDonald.win is now free from the stifling repression of China-controlled reddit.
And last week, the metacanada offshoot omegacanada.win was born. Your login credentials for TD.win and OC.win are one single acct. The DOTwin network is new and it's like discord in a way in that things are connected but FEDERATED in a sense.
As an example, your comment and post karma and notifications/msg inbox are all shared, but gets a little interesting when replying because the backend isn't bound in a single website. The best example of this is if you are on OC.win and you've also been commenting on items on TD.win, ALL of these messages you get it reply from both SITES are aggregated in that inbox respective to each. But as I say if you're on OC.win and someone has replied to you on TD.win, there is at this time no way to know which one it came from and if you're OC.win and click a TD.win reply you get a blank page so to speak.
So they're trying to work out in the background right now how to keep each autonomous but linked. Like a federation and working out the bugs and kinks like the one I've just described. I mention this because it IS a UX (user experience) UI kludge, but if you're like me and you're fascinated by how stuff works under the hood and you'd like to see a MAJOR new web architecture be born before your very eyes (imagine FB/Twitter/reddit/Digg at the very beginning) this is the hottest ticket on the internet right now in my informed opinion.
You want to discuss guns freely? The law and the future? Politics? Religion? OC.win and TD.win are the way to do it. You won't believe the feeling you feel when the realization of HOW LOCKED DOWN the BIG WEB is, hits. They've only been around a month or so and are getting 200K unique users and 5 million page hits a day. Read that sentence again. The desire for free exchange of ideas is STRONG right now. More than ever before.
It's a bit of the wild West in here. It feels like the early 2000s web again. Like a reset.
Here's a nice orderly list:
TheDonald.win
OmegaCanada.win
GavinMcInnes.win
ConsumeProduct.win <=== what it sounds like
KotakuInAction.win <===BASED GAMING
KotakuInAction2.win <===this is new
WeekendGunnit.win <=== yup
DO NOT EXPECT AN APP TO MAGICALLY APPEAR TO MAKE LIFE EASIER FOR YOU TO DINK AROUND ON YOUR PHONE.
NONE OF THE APP STORES WOULD LET THESE SITES OR THEIR USERS CREATE APPS TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY.
THEY'D BE FALLACIOUSLY RULED HATE AND REMOVED AND BANNED.
Good post, my only suggestion is "don't repeat the charges"- you might scare normies with "Big Tech says we're thoughtcriminals" in the last three lines. I'd end with the list, myself.
I'll give you an A for effort and G for GAAAAYYY
