Yes poverty does contribute to crime. But it's not the only factor. Poor whites and poor Asians (like the Japanese hikikomori and freeters) are more likely to have an internal locus of control. Meaning they blame themselves for their station in life. While poor blacks and poor indigenous people are more likely to have an external locus of control. Meaning they blame others (like society) for their station in life. People who feel like they have been wronged by society are more likely to lash out externally (theft, assault, rape, murder) rather than internally (opioid addiction, suicide).

Ironically, while liberals virtue signal to BIPOC constantly, the liberals never actually do anything concretely for poor BIPOC. You need to have actually lost a job in order to qualify for CERB.
