It just happened that I was listening to Vikingur Ólafsson's Prelude, BWV 855a (Ben Frost Ladder Mix) from the album Bach Reworks (Pt. 1) when I started watching the video showing Bevelyn Beatty creating that work of art with only a bucket of black paint and spoken words! Those words hit me hard. My hope is that they touch someonelse's heart, too.
That streak of black paint paint did more than just spoil the BLM script. Who else was forced to read Lyotard's "The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge" and, against yourself, take it seriously and act as if it was a big deal? The cover of this video is meant to remind me and all those who went through this awful process of indoctrination that maybe we should have done something, show some incredulity toward these idiotic marxist metanarratives. "I define postmodern as incredulity toward metanarratives," said Lyotard. Bevelyn Beatty just made Lyortard's wishful thinking irrelevant.
