To be fair it's more of a treatment option than an outright cure. But it has definitively shown promise, exceptional promise in fact when you consider the affordability.
Nice of you to contest the words of an actual Dr. Who has treated hundreds of patients successfully without even one death but I'll defer to the word of the Dr.
Tweet links to Dr. Immanuel speaking in this video where she says she's used this medicine throughout her career, has administered it to her own mother and also babies, pregnant women, elderly diabetics; she considers the drug safe from her background. Talks about patients showing results after 24 hours. Never uses the word cure.
Anyways the tweet is quoting from this video .The doctor talks about the fact that there are studies disputing her claims, and says:
"So if some fake science, some person sponsored by all these fake pharma companies say, 'Oh, we've done studies and found out that it doesn't work.' Well I can tell you categorically it's fake science. I wanna know whose sponsoring that study. I wanna know who's behind it. Because there is no way I can treat 350 patients and counting and nobody is dead, and they all did better. And now you're gonna tell me that you treated, 20 people, 40 people and it didn't work?
I'm a true testament. So I came here to Washington, DC to tell America no one needs to get sick. This virus has a cure. It is called Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc, and Zithromax. I know you wanna talk about masks - hello? You don't need masks. There is a cure. I know they don't want to open schools - no, you don't need people to be locked down. There is prevention, and there is a cure."
I don't dispute the doctor's claims about her practice with medicine. I would dispute the use of the word cure over treatment because there is a difference and the doctor was giving a passionate speech. These affordable treatments may well be cures, but even credible testimony must stand up to rigorous scientific scrutiny before being called a cure. It's an issue of semantics, that's all.
The doctor's concerns about scientific scrutiny are valid, she is concerned about the influence of outside factors to discredit real medicine.
The words of the title are a direct quote. u/BeetlejuiceForSenate has written 6 paragraphs (I'm impressed you even read it) in a desperate attempt to water down the intent of these Dr.s press conference advocating in the strongest possible terms for Zpac regimen nation and world wide.
It's exactly this type of watering down by the MSM that leads to "hydroxychloroquine is actually quite dangerous and we need to stay locked down and borders closed until we have a vaccine and vaccine history chips to allow people to travel".

does language matter that much really? Every single news story put forth by media uses language manipulation and other tactics.
Usage of the word cure will help with irrational fear among the public. Nobody wants to hear about a god damned treatment.

Fair enough, Christ! I'm getting crucified here for agreeing with the doctor. So I disagree with one word, so fucking what.
