You might want to look up the definition of something before having a strong opinion on it lol.
Emotional labour is the act of 'keeping people happy'. It's essentially being 'on' at your job. That goes for any role where there is customer interaction, and it's why some of those roles are highly paid.
You think sports agents like all of their clients? Fuck no. You know why they get paid that much though? Because they're able to put up with them and manage them. Aka they're capable of doing the emotional labour.
It's not what it's called when you complain, it's what it's called when you have to put up with other people complaining.
Labour creates something of value. Being an emotional tampon does not. Sounds like we're from different cultures. You do your emotional labour, I'll make things people want.
You’re a fucking retard dude. The poster you’re arguing with made an excellent, well thought out post full of great points and you just respond with canned bullshit straight out of an Ayn Rand novel.
That was cringe to read. Not only are you fucking retarded, you are absolutely wrong and your “shower thought” is embarrassing teenage garbage. You’re not an entrepreneur and you don’t make shit, so shut the fuck up. That cringey post you wrote, for example, has no value whatsoever, so did you technically expend “labor” on it?
I'm sure you wish other men would call you dude, but I'm pretty sure we don't. You'll get there.
Still expending labor and producing no value. Would you say you’re being a tampon right now?
