Police disproportionately target blacks. It's a fact. If I would surmise as to why this is, I would think that they're operating from learned experience . They know that a black dressed a like a G is more likely to have outstanding warrants, weapons and drugs on him than a white guy in a suit or asian guy in badminton shorts.
They know a black guy with a flat cap in a big shiny black car is more likely to have papers out of order, drugs or weapons.
When I had activities outside of the law, I would not accept blacks as passengers in my car if I was transporting something or if I was driving drunk. I would not let a white passenger wear his flat cap. I also wouldn't drive my big shiny noisy car because I knew these things could get me pulled over and when I told a friend he can't ride with me because I'm drunk and he's black he would understand because smart crooks know how things work. This is unjust for any person targeted that shouldn't be, but at the same time, if you're a cop and you've had weapons pulled on you by a certain type, you learn to beware of the type. Same as anyone else.
Police also disproportionately target males. For the same reasons. However, the media would have us believe this is not only acceptable, but necessary, for men but unacceptable for blacks.
