I’ve been thinking more about this. He prorogues parliament, then comes back with a throne speech and a budget.
By definition the budget is a confidence vote. The bloc have said they want him out, the conservatives want him out. Will the NDP keep supporting him or will it be a fall election?
Liberals will say Freeland is qualified in economics because she negotiated the NAFTA deal. Problem is the deal changed hardly anything from the status quo. All that changed was she soured our relations with the USA. She virtue-signaled to the Liberal base in Canada that "orangeman bad", and it cost our nation the respect of our most valued and important ally.
Freeland is an even more skilled liar and filibusterer than Trudeau, and for her to take over as PM would change nothing of the cultural corruption within the Liberal party.
Justin will resign in favour of her taking over the party
She couldn't just take over. At most, she could be appointed as an interim leader.
I'm not sure what LPC's constitution says, but I'm pretty sure they would at least need to have an internal election and I'm also pretty sure that there would be others who'd like to throw their hats in the ring.
That would be amazing if she did. Is there any prescient for a Governor General to be removed from their post for not going along with the prime ministers schemes?
I'm surprised the NDP isn't using this an opportunity to scalp Liberal voters...
I'm probably trapped in my OmegaCanada bubble, but like...it seems like the NDP is silent on this.
I have a friend on Facebook, whom I cannot wait for the collective autstic screeching when her favourites collapse in front her. She just posted some event in her city, featuring a green party candidate - top fucking kek.
You know what a shit barometer is, Bubs? It measures the shit pressure in the air. You can feel it. Listen Bubs. You hear that? The sounds of the whispering winds of shit. Do you hear it? Oh but you will, my sorry little friend when the shit barometer rises, and you'll feel it too. Your ears will explode from the shit pressure.
You were warned, Bubs. But you picked the wrong side. Beware, my friend. Shit winds are a comin'.
It’s not like parliament has been operating for the past 6 months anyhow. Their little zoom sessions are hardly good governance.

Watch Payette refuse the request, just to spite him.
And sending his attack dog Telford after her in the media.

Well, there is the King–Byng affair. That didn't result in the GG being removed however.
With the whole CERB/EI thing going on, Payette would be within her rights to refuse.
Are the libs collapsing in front of us?
For that to happen the cuckservatives would have to have the ability to do anything
So you agree then.

MAYBE...JUST MAYBE - A fall election will kill the Libs and the NDP in one sweep?
Bloc Quebecois official opposition?!?!?!?!
